CARMEN VEGA, BROOKLYN “I don’t support it because it goes against my religion. I’m Christian. It goes back to Adam and Eve. God created man and woman. That’s what I hold true. I don’t have anything against gay people, but they just shouldn’t have the same right to marriage.” CHRISTINA VARVERIS, BROOKLYN “Yes, I do support gay marriage. My brother’s gay. It’s their life choice. They should have rights like everybody else. My brother’s neutral, he doesn’t want to get married yet, but he should have rights like any heterosexual.” Christina Varveris (l.) supports the new law, while Carmen Vega (r.) says gay marriage is against her religion.
