Stephen Colbert ups the number of political figures for second week of The Late Show

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert will turn its focus in a more political direction during its second week. Although Colbert is already set to host Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush on its debut episode, the rest of its first week is rounded out with actors and business executives. Week 2, on the other hand, features a variety of political figure, bringing us back to Colbert’s roots.Justice Stephen Breyer will be the first member of the U.S. Supreme Court to visit The Late Show. He’ll appear on the Sept. 14 episode. On Sept. 17, United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon will stop by, and then Sen. Bernie Sanders, a Democratic presidential hopeful, will close out week 2 with Colbert on Sept. 18.Prior to The Late Show, politics was Colbert’s bread and butter on The Colbert Report. Of course, with Colbert playing a character on the satire program, we expect his interaction with political guests — and with guests in general — to be much different on his new show.
