FTICO was established with an aim to boost and facilitate the start-up plans of FPT students by investing in business plans which are highly viable. Besides, FTICO will recruit FPT students and provide them with opportunities of working real projects of customers. At FTICO, students can also experience large-scale software projects of FPT Group. The first project of FTICO is to deploy the e-government solution worth US$720,000 in one year for a Japanese customer having 200 employees. “FTICO is currently recruiting students so that the project can be carried out soon,” said Le Ha Duc, managing director of FTICO. Operating as a non-profit company and based in the university campus, FTICO will have its profits reinvested to maintain operations and develop business. Each group of students will be supervised and instructed by an experienced project administrator and get pay based on their real contributions. The model of FTICO is a solution to the problem about student training and real demand, especially when enterprises now tend to recruit experienced employees.
