Terminally ill father from Soham plans to tick everything off his bucket list while he has the time

PUBLISHED: 16:38 13 April 2018 Harry Rutter Dan McGrath, 21, has been diagnosed with terminal cancer after being told it was just ‘acid reflux’ and plans to tick everything off his bucket list while he has the chance. PHOTO: Submitted Archant A 21-year-old dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer only days after being told it was probably acid reflux. Dan McGrath of Soham is now planning the time he has left with his wife Rebecca and their seven-month old baby. He has created a bucket list of things he wishes to do while he has the time left, which includes having a ride on a Harley Davidson motorbike as well as meeting his football idol, Steven Gerrard. Although he is currently being fed through a tube in Addenbrooke’s Hospital, his family are trying to raise as much money as they can to help him achieve everything on his list. A separate fund-raising page has also been setup to raise money “to prevent young people getting this type of cancer [Adenocarcinoma, Signet Ring] again as it is hardly seen in people under 60”.
