In commemoration of the lives lost on May 22, 2017 after a suicide bomber detonated an explosive device in the foyer of the 21,000-seat venue, Grande shared a brief message on Twitter. “Thinking of you all today and every day,” she wrote, additionally sharing a bumblebee emoji, which has long served as an emblem of the European city’s roots as a hard-working, resilient area. “I love you with all of me and am sending you all of the light and warmth I have to offer on this challenging day,” Grande’s message concluded. In the immediate aftermath of the incident, which occurred just as Grande’s Dangerous Woman tour stop was letting out, the singer tweeted that she was “broken” and didn’t “have words” to describe her feelings on the matter, and later postponed the remainder of her 2017 concert dates.
