Steven Gerrard has been named the new manager of Rangers. The Liverpool legend has been the Ibrox side’s No1 target to be their next manager and the man himself finally confirmed talks were underway on Tuesday – and now he’s signed a four-year deal with the Glasgow giants. Graeme Murty was relieved of his duties earlier this week and Jimmy Nicholl and Jonatan Johansson will be in caretaker charge until the end of the campaign. Gerrard will now take over in the summer and faces a major rebuilding job at Rangers after another season without a major trophy.
