Investment Indian firms sound out cooperation in Vietnam By Do Lan Saturday,  Oct 12, 2019,14:12 (GMT+7) Indian firms sound out cooperation in VietnamBy Do Lan Representatives of Vietnamese and Indian firms talk about business opportunities at the business matching event on October 11 – PHOTO: DO LAN HCMC – An Indian business delegation representing 56 firms has attended Metalex Vietnam 2019, an international exhibition of machining tools and metalworking solutions which kicked off in HCMC on October 10, to sound out opportunities for cooperation in the local market. “I have talked to 17 Vietnamese firms at the three-day event and hope that they will contact our company,” Johnson M. Mathew, a representative of Tectools Engineering Company, told the Saigon Times at a Vietnam-India business matching event on October 11. Mathew said that the firm’s products have been sold in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia, adding that the Indian company expects to find partners in Vietnam to expand its reach. He also said that the local market is in need of machining tools and metalworking solutions so it could continue to develop, noting that the sector has great potential for development in Vietnam.
