WEST HAM are reportedly considering a swoop to try and bring Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder in to replace Manuel Pellegrini. The under-pressure Hammers chief was backed with £100m transfer funds last summer but a dramatic slump in form has led to huge relegation fears. Now the Daily Mirror claims the East London club have Wilder “in their crosshairs” as they consider Pellegrini’s future. If the 55-year-old is unable to halt the slide, West Ham’s hierarchy are believed to be in favour of appointing a British coach. And that has led to claims ex-Brighton boss Chris Hughton and David Moyes – who kept them up in 2018, are also potentially in the frame.
