New Delhi: After facing backlash from the gaming community, Microsoft on Saturday announced not to change Xbox Live Gold pricing, along with unlocking free to play games for all.The company earlier announced to increase prices for Xbox Live Gold memberships in certain markets “in an apparent effort to convert more users to its Xbox Game Pass Ulimate”, but the gaming community did not like the price hike, forcing Microsoft to roll back the move.”We messed up today and you were right to let us know. Connecting and playing with friends is a vital part of gaming and we failed to meet the expectations of players who count on it every day. As a result, we have decided not to change Xbox Live Gold pricing,” Microsoft Xbox team said in an updated statement on Saturday.”For free-to-play games, you will no longer need an Xbox Live Gold membership to play those games on Xbox.
