New Delhi: In line with the Government’s Digital health mission, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Tuesday announced the release of an open platform for national digital health eecosystem in the Budget 2022. The platform will store information related to healthcare providers, health facilities, healthcare seekers through unique health identities and consent framework of healthcare services to ensure universal access to healthcare. Health experts highlighted that affordable healthcare would be easier to provide through the digital platform which is especially important in times of COVID-19. Speaking on how digital health ecosystem will improve diagnosis and treatment, Yash Gandhi, BU Head, Docprime.com said, "The launch of an open platform for the national digital health ecosystem by the government in today’s Budget is a great step towards fast-tracking the adoption of digital health products and services.This announcement promises to empower India’s digital health mission and thereby help customers navigate the healthcare system seamlessly.
