– A + A KUALA LUMPUR (June 3): TM One is currently planning to launch its 10th data centre which is expected to be announced in the third quarter of this year. TM One Executive vice-president Shazurawati Abd Karim said TM One, as the sole local cloud service provider, was committed to strengthening its digital offerings in meeting the needs of the government’s MyGovCloud service while realising the digital transformation of the public sector. "Through the Malaysia Digital Blueprint, the aspiration is (of the country) for 80% of public sector data to be stored in data centres and in the cloud. “So far, we have invested almost RM1 billion in TM One data centres nationwide to ensure we can accommodate cloud data in Malaysia,” she said. She said this while appearing on Bernama TV's Ruang Bicara programme that discussed the topic 'Menyokong Perjalanan Transformasi Digital Malaysia' (Supporting Malaysia’s Digital Transformation Journey) on Thursday.
