EASYJET has scrapped all flights to a popular tourist destination in Egypt. The airline confirmed that all flights to Hurghada will be cancelled until at least the end of July. EasyJet said the reason behind the cancellation – which will affect summer holidays – was due to “industry-wide issues”. An easyJet spokesperson said: "There are industry-wide operational issues that are impacting airlines at the moment, which means we have made a number of pre-emptive cancellations. “This includes all flights to Hurghada from the UK for the remainder of June and July. We are very sorry for the inconvenience this will cause.” They said that any passengers affected will be contacted by the airline.
