Mustang Mach-E revealed as name of Ford’s electric performance SUV
close Video Here's Ford's electric 'Mustang-inspired' SUV days before you're supposed to see it Here's a sneak peek of Ford's 'Mustang-inspired' electric SUV. The Mustang is about to go Mach-E. (Brian Williams) Ford has revealed that Mustang Mach-E is the name of the upcoming “Mustang-inspired” electric utility vehicle it will debut in Los Angeles on Sunday, Nov. 17. When Ford announced plans for the model two years ago, it tapped the Mach 1 name from the Mustang’s archives to promote, but then quietly trademarked Mustang Mach-E, leading to speculation that it would be used on the production model. Details on the vehicle are still scarce, including the price, but Ford says that it is a performance-minded SUV that will come in a version with a 300-mile range, which puts it in the same league as the upcoming Tesla Model Y. The most UNSAFE cars you can buy today – and it’s not just Fiats that performed poorly in crash tests
FIAT cars are officially the most unsafe on the market today, with crash tester Euro NCAP handing its latest Panda model zero stars. The Italian brand's Punto was also given the unwanted title of the first car to be given no stars last year. Its popular 500 city car - cute as it may be - was also awarded just three stars in 2017, alongside the Doblo and 15 other models last year. But Fiat is not the only brand to be guilty of a poor safety rating, as the new Jeep Wrangler was handed just one star. The large off-roader provided little safety assist features, scoring just 32 per cent in that category. Other main sectors tested by Euro NCAP include safety for an adult, a child and for vulnerable road users.Top 5 most unsafe new cars Fiat Panda (2018) - 0 stars Fiat Punto (2017) - 0 stars Jeep Wrangler (2018 - 1 star Ford Mustang (2017) - 2 stars* Suzuki Jimny (2018) - 3 stars *The Mustang Roadster Sport was reassessed in 2017 and achieved 3 stars Muscle car, the Ford Mustang, was given … [Read more...] about The most UNSAFE cars you can buy today – and it’s not just Fiats that performed poorly in crash tests
Muscle-car specialist Mecum beats top auction houses to Steve McQueen’s ‘Bullitt’ car
"I don't want to do this ... twice." So says Sean Kiernan, owner of the 1968 Ford Bullitt Mustang that could become the most expensive Mustang ever sold when it hits the auction block in January. Kiernan is referring to the grueling and delicate process of selling such a well-known car, the one his dad, Robert, bought in 1974 and used as a family car until 1980. Kiernan the elder passed away in 2014; Kiernan the younger kept the car sitting in the family garage until confirming its presence publicly last year. Famed as the hero car in arguably the greatest car chase scene in film history-Steve McQueen raced it for 10 minutes through the streets of San Francisco in the 1968 thriller Bullitt-the unrestored Mustang fastback in Highland Green will go on sale at no reserve in the Mecum auction on Jan. 10 in Kissimmee, Florida. The move to hold a no-reserve sale is highly unusual for such a car, which is expected to take as much as $5 million. Typically cars of that caliber are offered with … [Read more...] about Muscle-car specialist Mecum beats top auction houses to Steve McQueen’s ‘Bullitt’ car
Sex abuse compensation fund tricked by paedophile ring fantasist Carl Beech so he could pocket £22,000 has paid a total of £71million to alleged victims in just ONE YEAR
More than £71million of taxpayers’ money was paid to alleged sexual abuse victims last year through the compensation scheme exploited by paedophile ring fantasist Carl Beech. Claimants do not need to provide evidence of a conviction, or even the name of an alleged abuser. Payouts soared by 30 per cent on the previous year, and made up almost half of the overall bill for the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA). Beech obtained a crime reference number and was eventually awarded £22,000. He used some of the money to buy a convertible Ford Mustang sports car Critics warned yesterday that the Ministry of Justice scheme is open to abuse, with Tory MP Nigel Evans branding it ‘an invitation to fraudsters’. Mr Evans, who was falsely accused of rape and lost his life savings defending his case, called on the Government to review the compensation scheme last night. Beech made his claim to CICA in 2013, soon after police closed an investigation into claims … [Read more...] about Sex abuse compensation fund tricked by paedophile ring fantasist Carl Beech so he could pocket £22,000 has paid a total of £71million to alleged victims in just ONE YEAR
