A team of researchers, scientists and engineers from France have created a 3D printed house in just a matter of hours.    For the first time ever, the four-bedroom house will serve as a permanent home for a family of five.  The 1,022-square-foot house, located in the northwestern French city of Nantes, only took about two days - or 54 hours - to complete.  Scroll down for video A team of researchers, scientists and engineers from France have created a 3D printed house in just a matter of hours. (Jon Washer via PA via AP) LONDON — A Colorado cancer survivor has succeeded in her remarkable quest to swim across the English Channel four times in a row. Sarah Thomas completed the feat Tuesday morning after more than 54 hours of swimming.The 37-year-old finished treatment for breast cancer last year. She was cheered by a small crowd as she arrived in Dover. She was given champagne and chocolate to celebrate. Thomas says she was “a little sick” after so much time in the water and thanked her husband and supporters for urging her to keep going. She has dedicated the swim to “all the survivors out there.” In 2016, Thomas swam 82 miles across Lake Powell in 56 hours. The Techstars Startup Weekend Columbus kicks off tomorrow, bringing entrepreneurs, designers, coders and others to create viable ventures in one weekend. The event will be held at ScriptDrop Inc.’s new office space at 855 Grandview Ave. in Columbus. The company provides prescription delivery, connecting pharmacies to its network of couriers, according to its website. Participants will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas or listen to ideas from other fledgling entrepreneurs. They then vote on the most interesting ones and form teams with diverse skill sets to flesh out the ideas into technological solutions. Teams will have 54 hours to turn their ideas into a prototype that fits the need of a target customer. “I think it has a great impact in the community, promoting startup culture,” said Trevor Bennett, one of the 12 volunteer organizers for the event. An American breast cancer survivor on Tuesday became the first person to swim across the English Channel four times non-stop in a 54-hour feat of endurance. Sarah Thomas, 37, an open water marathon swimmer from the US state of Colorado, could be seen in a video posted on Facebook arriving at Dover on the southern English coast with a group of supporters cheering her on. "I feel a little sick," she is heard saying following the herculean effort, which reportedly saw her cover close to 130 miles (209 kilometres) due to strong tides. Only four swimmers have previously completed the approximately 21-mile Channel crossing between Britain and France three times without stopping. "I just can't believe we did it," Thomas told the BBC. "I'm really just pretty numb. There was a lot of people on the beach to meet me and wish me well and it was really nice of them, but I feel just mostly stunned." Sebastien Buemi led the field through the first lap of the 2018 24 Hours of Le Mans which saw an accident in the Dunlop curves as a result of flying bodywork on their first time through. With the Toyota’s heading up the field, Andre Lotterer in the Rebellion Racing car challenged the #8 Toyota, clipping the back of the car, as a result of the contact the former Le Mans winner lost the nose of the car under braking which slide in to the #10 Dragonspeed car, tapping it in to a spin. The Rebellion car would limp around the lap with front bodywork missing before a pitstop to get the car back out on track. There was drama even before the start when the ByKolles didn’t get going off of the grid for the formation lap, as the field pulled away Tom Dillmann was left on his own. When he did eventually get away he spun in to the Dunlop curves. Ten minutes in the race the raindrops started to come down, thankfully not enough to disrupt the pace or disrupt the grip levels.
