Dien Bien spends more on industry promotion projectsAccording to Director of the Dien Bien Industry Promotion Center Lo Van Thien, the center accomplished two projects last year including arrowroot noodle production at Muong Lay Town’s Lay Nua Commune and coffee powder production at the Dai Bach Coffee Co., Ltd located in Ang Nua Commune, Muong Ang District. Both were funded VND200 million from the national industry promotion budget. However, Dien Bien failed to implement local funded industry promotion projects last year due to a lack of funding; experiencing approximately a VND500 million shortfall from national industry promotion funding failing to match local demands, Thien said.
