Why it matters: Despite the amount of money and human resources involved in developing better battery technology, progress has been relatively slow. An Israeli startup says it has achieved commercial viability for a new battery that trades in some energy density for much faster charging speeds, and might end up in electric cars in the next five years. It seems like every time we get news of improved battery technology, it's always something experimental that researchers are playing with in a lab setting and may never see the light of day. HP also announced its head of strategy and chief legal officer, Kim Rivera, is department after five years with the company. Netflix surpasses 200 million subscribers, but has more competition than ever in 2021
By October 2020, 25 percent of general streaming subscribers canceled a service to sign up for another one, according to a recent study conducted by Deloitte. It was 17 percent in May, just before HBO Max and Peacock launched. Deloitte also found that 62 percent of people who signed up to watch a specific show canceled once they finished. Fired Amazon worker says termination was retaliation for speaking out
Bryson's termination and Palmer's disciplining follow similar actions by Amazon directed at employees who have spoken out against the company during the health crisis.
