Thai firms keen on energy projects in central Vietnam A number of Thailand's energy firms have come to provinces in central Vietnam this year to seek investment opportunities and sign cooperation deals to continue its projects. Last week, EGAT International Co Ltd (EGATi) and B.Grimm Power Co had meetings with leaders of Binh Dinh Province to look into investment conditions for wind power projects in Nhon Hoi Economic Zone, according to the Binh Dinh Investment Promotion Center. Pakorn Snguansuppayakorn, deputy general director of EGATi, said studies showed that coastal areas have much potential for wind power development. Health authority issues complete recall of four Sisley Paris products According to document no. 18475/QLD-MP issued by the Department of Drug Management under the Ministry of Health, the four products, namely Sisley eau tropicale eau de toilette, Super soin solaire milky body mist spf 30, Eau de Sisley 2, and Phyto-blanc lightening compact foundation SPF 20, will be removed from the shelves and be recalled throughout the country. The products are imported and sold by Vietnam-Japan Performance Organisation and Training Co. Ltd. (Viet Artical Co., Ltd.) headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City. The reason for the recall is a significant difference between the ingredients as marked on the product labels and the documents submitted to the department. SBV raises reference rate after Tet holiday The State Bank of Viet Nam on February 15 raised its reference rate to VND21,873 per American dollar, VND12 higher than on February 5, the last working day before Tet.
