Re-setting Your Happiness Set Point: Part 1
Source: Dan Lopez/Flickr “The purpose of life is to be happy” - His Holiness the Dalai Lama It may be surprising to hear these words from one of the world’s leading spiritual teachers. We tend to associate spirituality with the achievement of enlightened states of conscious development, rather than a state of personal happiness . Best smart thermostat 2021: save energy and money when heating your home
The best smart thermostats can automate the heating and cooling of your home, to ensure it's at the temperature you want when you want it. Rather than using a schedule for when your home should be heated and cooled, smart thermostats give you more control by letting you adjust the temperature from your phone even if you’re not at home. No more returning home late to find you’ve been wasting energy as the heating has been running full blast all evening. Smart thermostats also let you change the temperature with your voice, and can work with other smart home gadgets, such as smart lights and smart plugs and switches , so when you walk through the door the lights are on, your favorite songs are playing and your home is at the perfect temperature. It's not just about home automation, smart thermostats can help save energy and potentially money too. Some internet-connected thermostats use AI to identify how long it takes your home to heat up or cool down, amending your schedule … [Read more...] about Best smart thermostat 2021: save energy and money when heating your home

Performed for the first time in 1910 when he was 38 years old, he had been working on it since 1903. If you know this symphony, you may agree that it is a powerfully moving blend of instrumental and choral music — the latter drawn from the poetry of Walt Whitman. A symphony is defined as "an elaborate musical composition for full orchestra, typically in four movements, at least one of which is traditionally in sonata form." According to the online Oxford Dictionary, this word's origins are appropriate enough: "Middle English (denoting any of various instruments such as the dulcimer or the virginal): from Old French symphonie, via Latin from Greek sumphōnia, from sumphōnos ‘harmonious’, … [Read more...] about QAnon, MAGA, and A Sea Symphony by Ralph Vaughan Williams
