Legislation that would create a federal exploratory commission on reparations for Black Americans was approved Wednesday by a House committee for the first time, setting up a vote by the full Congress if Democratic leaders choose to bring it to the House floor. BLM co-founder Patrisse Cullors’ consulting firm ‘was paid more than $20K a month by LA jail reform group while she served as chair’
The consulting firm for Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors pulled in over $20,000 a month while she served as the chair of an LA jail reform initiative. Cullors' consulting firm, Janaya and Patrisse Consulting was paid $191,000 during 2019 from Reform LA Jails, aka Vote Yes on R, Fox News reports. The 37-year-old, who recently came under fire after her multi-million property empire was revealed, reportedly founded the firm with her spouse and BLM co-founder Janaya Khan. Cullors raised eyebrows last week when it emerged that she had spent $1.4 million on a Los Angeles property - her fourth home, and her third in the city - in an overwhelmingly white neighborhood. The New York Post reported Cullors had also bought two other LA homes in recent years, and paid $415,000 for a 3.2 acre property in Georgia.
