Google Chrome is the most-used browser on the internet. The browser rose to fame as an alternative to slow, sluggish incumbents -- Internet Explorer and Safari. But Google Chrome has become the new leader, and as a result has itself become the sluggish incumbent. It became the thing we hated. We created a monster. Wandavision Episode 9: 18 Easter Eggs And References In “The Series Finale”
Well, it's over. WandaVision Episode 9, "The Series Finale," is streaming now on Disney+, and no matter what else you may have thought about it, the final chapter was at least full of Easter eggs and references for us to break down. If that's what you're interested in, go ahead and keep scrolling. Of course, there's a lot to say about the episode itself, and we have no doubt that fans are going to be divided on this one. On one hand, it provided closure and emotional payoff for Wanda and Vision's story so far throughout the MCU, and it was fantastic to spend so much time with these normally secondary Avengers (compared with the likes of Iron Man and Captain America, at least). On the other hand, this episode left a lot of dangling threads that may or may not be picked up down the road in future MCU movies and shows. Plus, the Evan Peters casting turned out to be a red herring all along. Can you believe it? Let us know in the comments below, and keep reading for all the Easter eggs … [Read more...] about Wandavision Episode 9: 18 Easter Eggs And References In “The Series Finale”
4 Match-Up Types: Which One Do You (Unconsciously) Select?
Source: Galibo/Devianart Many people seek partners based on a list of qualifications, or instinctive attraction to certain types. These approaches don’t consider the flavor that emerges when the features we’re drawn to co-mingle with our own personality . Different matches create distinct dynamics that emphasize or inhibit aspects of ourselves—impacting how we feel, our state of mind, and who we become. Even with relatively consistent personality traits such as being anxious , who we partner with affects how these traits play out. Desired qualities and attraction alone typically have little bearing on whether a partnership will create a sustainable match, and instead can lead to unforeseen outcomes. 1. ‘We’re Vaccinated. Everyone Wants to Visit. Now What?’
If you’re younger-than-or-equal-to GenX, I think you’ll recognize this vibe: My mom and stepfather live in a little California beach town. They’re both over 75, and for the past year they’ve been careful as hell about exposures and risks to avoid getting Covid-19. She’s in good health; he’s not. And now, at last, they both are two weeks out from their second shot of the Pfizer vaccine. So of course, I got the email: “Three people have asked to come visit,” Mom wrote. “I am conflicted and not sure how to handle.” I don’t mean to put my stuff onto you, but these kinds of questions are only going to start coming faster and furiouser. More than half the old folks in the United States have been vaccinated against Covid-19—65 percent of people 75 years of age or older. That’s great news. It also means that more and more people are trying to figure out what happens next. Earlier this week, news leaked that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention were going to release long-awaited … [Read more...] about ‘We’re Vaccinated. Everyone Wants to Visit. Now What?’
Budget debate: MSF to pilot new mentoring programme to support at-risk youth
SINGAPORE - Students who leave the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) prematurely will receive support under a new programme pilot that aims to pair at-risk youths with mentors who can serve as positive role models. It will be launched by the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) later this year, and target 100 young people over two years. The programme was announced by the Parliamentary Secretary for Social and Family Development Eric Chua on Friday (March 5). Speaking during the debate on the ministry's budget, Mr Chua described its main objectives: "First, to expand the youths' network of positive relationships. "We hope that the mentees find lifelong friends and role models in the mentors, pick up useful life skills, and gain access to a trusted adult that they feel comfortable reaching out to. "Second, to empower the youths to achieve their aspirations. We hope to broaden their exposure to opportunities, and support them in building on their strengths and … [Read more...] about Budget debate: MSF to pilot new mentoring programme to support at-risk youth
