May 03, 2019 - 12:38 BST Chloe Best Ellie Goulding revealed how her fiancé Caspar Jopling proposed during an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show Ellie Goulding has opened up about her upcoming wedding to fiancé Caspar Jopling, revealing they will tie the knot in 2019. The Love Me Like You Do singer announced her engagement to her partner in August 2018 and says that his proposal came as a surprise – even to him! Speaking on The Jonathan Ross Show , she said: "I think he proposed a bit sooner than he thought he was going to. I think he got a bit over excited and proposed the week before he was planning." The singer, who is close friends with Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie , took to her Instagram page on Wednesday to show fans a very impressive cake she had baked. Ellie held the huge rainbow cake up to the camera for followers to get a good look and it looked delicious. Scrumptious layers of blue, green, yellow, orange and red sponge sandwiched together with white buttercream icing and covered in rainbow sprinkles. Ellie Goulding is expecting her first child with her husband Caspar Jopling. And the Starry Eyed hitmaker, 34, has shared how being pregnant has led to her ditching her healthy diet in favour of junk food. As she unveiled her happy news in Vogue magazine, the health-conscious performer told how when she first found out she was having a baby she was 'in denial' as she had been focused on working on a healthy eating book named Fitter Calmer Stronger. Ellie added that she had been "smug" about "how healthy" her food choices were but then she was "terrified" when she began craving fast food. The songstress told the fashion bible: "I was in such a good streak of fitness. I actually went from being smug about how healthy my salads were and my breakfasts and eating nuts and seeds, and then all I wanted was McDonald's.
