CNN hosts Brianna Keilar and Brian Stelter criticized Fox News in a Friday segment of “CNN Newsroom,” claiming the network was taking a hard right politically to drive ratings. There are few franchises that have endured in the way that the Alien franchise has endured. For nearly four decades Ridley Scott's creation has found a way to keep going, even if all of the entries haven't been able to live up to the first two movies. This summer Alien: Covenant looked like it was poised to totally reinvigorate the series with Ridley Scott back at the helm and the Xenomorphs back on the big screen. That didn't really work out and now the other prequels/sequels the director has planned may be in jeopardy. CNN anchor Brianna Keilar said Friday on her show “Newsroom” that Fox News Channel host Tucker Carlson’s show was “partisan junk food.” Keilar said, “Fox, facing a ratings slump after its de facto executive producer lost the presidential election, is leaning more heavily into its buffet of cultural war cuisine. I know it’s about as predictable as singing Girls Just Wanna Have Fun really badly on karaoke night, and it’s predictably hypocritical to boot.” In a video from his Fox News show, Carlson said, “M families are the core of this country. They are the hope for the future, our only hope. Yet both parties have shamelessly abandoned them. Republicans tend to be their champion. You know now that they are not. Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan has called for an investigation into a Baltimore High School after a local investigation found scores of students at the school are failing. A senior at Augusta Fells Savage (AFS) Institute of Visual Arts failed all but three classes over four years and still graduated at the top half of his class with a 0.13 GPA, according to a Fox 45 Baltimore report published earlier this week.
