OnePlus has been creating buzz around it upcoming TV, dubbed OnePlus TV, for days now. The company’s co-founder and CEO Pete Lau has been teasing the upcoming TV on his social media handle. Among all the information that has been shared, it was revealed that the OnePlus TV will be available on Amazon India’s website. However, there is no official launch date yet. Now the TV has appeared in the listing of ‘New launches’ during Amazon Great Indian Festival sale. The dedicated microsite for the upcoming sale, which reveals the products that will debut during the sale, lists OnePlus TV as well. Amazon has so far not announced the dates of its annual festival sale, which is usually for 4-5 days. 2 Indians in UAE develop app to help visually impaired
Two UAE-based Indian nationals developed a smartphone app that can help visually impaired people. The app developed by Nandujit Prathap and Visakh G.S is called Ioptyc. It uses distance sensors and visual recognition technology to assist people with visual impairments, the Khaleej Times reported on Wednesday. The project which has two parts, the smartphone app and a special glove, was one of the winning projects in the Ma'an Social Incubator programme of Abu Dhabi on Wednesday, that aims to support people of determination. "Ioptyc utilises the power of Google Tensorflow Lite for visual recognition of objects in front of the user, who may be visually impaired," Prathap told Khaleej Times. "Once the object in front of the person is detected, the app sends an alert and announces the name of the object over the user's headphone, with the help of Google natural languages package," he explained. WASHINGTON: Indian Ambassador to the US, Harsh Vardhan Shringla on Sunday said that the "weight of the government of India" is behind the detained students in the country, while confirming that the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) will have access to all students by Monday. US state dept official expresses concern over new Indian citizenship law
A US state department representative for religious freedoms globally has expressed concern over the Citizenship Amendment Act and the US embassy in New Delhi has urged its citizens in northeast India to “exercise caution” in view of protests and disturbances in relation to the legislation.But the US government has not endorsed a call issued last week by an autonomous body — the US Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) — for sanctioning Indian leadership responsible for the legislation, if it was also passed in the Rajya Sabha.
