Hanoi hosts Japan’s Information Technology Festival 2008
This is the second time Japan’s Information Technology Festival 2008 take place in Vietnam to show that Japan is gradually becoming a major partner of Vietnam’s software market. Around 200 Vietnamese and Japanese enterprises will participate in the event, which is considered as a useful playground for enterprises to seek cooperative opportunities. Many activities will be held at the festival, focusing on five major areas: human resources, policy, technology, business and culture. Cooperation between Vietnam and Japan in the field of IT and software has developed strongly. The number of Vietnamese enterprises doing business with Japan has increased from 10 in 2003 to 50 in 2008. City’s services industry enjoys fastest rate of growth
During the 2011-2013 period, Ho Chi Minh City placed particular emphasis on the service, industry and agriculture sectors, with the services industry seeing the fastest rate of growth. Despite challenges from the national economy, the services sector retained a growth rate of 11 percent per year, with turnover from the sector representing over 58 percent of total GDP growth, according to the city People's Committee. Trade accounted for 22.1 percent of growth in the service sector, with a growth rate of 12.3 percent annually. Of that amount, exports gained 84.4 billion USD or 8 percent growth annually, the same growth rate of the previous four-year period between 2006 and 2010, which was 8.1 percent. Also, in the trade segment, the commodities sector focused on industrial processed products and intellectually realised products rather than the production of natural raw materials. Training course to increase more skills about information technology application in administrative reform
(Cinet)- On September 14, Information Technology Center (ICT) organized a training course to increase skills of information technology application for cadres from ministerial agencies. Addressing at the course, Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen, vice-manager of the ICT said that the training course aimed to increase more skills of information technology application in terms of administrative reform according to Decision No.4421/QĐ-BVHTTDL on December 31, 2014 of Minister of Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Through that, the course expects to increase more knowledge and skill of information technology application to meet management activity and implement some tasks for cadres in an industry of culture, sports and tourism.
