According to newswire NewYork Post, a Long Island woman Diane Chung took Samsung to the court after her Samsung Galaxy Note 9 spontaneously combusted inside a Long Island woman’s purse. The first target of the lawsuit is to clarify her damage in this incident. The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) has issued an instruction telling airlines to warn passengers against putting Samsung Galaxy Note 7 phones in their luggage due to the risk of battery fires. Samsung Galaxy Note 7 The instruction also requires airlines to stop providing charging service for those phones during flights, citing the recommendation of the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on September 8. Available in two versions, 128GB and 512GB ROM, they are priced at VNĐ22.99 million (US$1,008) and VNĐ28.49 million ($1,249). The phones would be sold starting on August 24 with free upgrades from the 128GB version to the 512GB version offered to the first buyers on the opening day, the company said.
