Three things we learned from Newcastle – West Ham

· April 17, 2021 ·

Newcastle United’s Joe Willock saved Steve Bruce massive blushes after the Magpies threw away a two-goal halftime lead in a 3-2 win over 10-man West Ham United at St. James’ Park on Saturday. The Irons were down 1-0 on an Issa Diop own goal when Craig Dawson was sent off and Joelinton scored to make it 2-0 at the break. [ MORE: How to watch PL in the USA ] Newcastle boss Steve Bruce took his foot off the gas, allowing West Ham 66 percent second-half possession and an 11-2 shot advantage at the time of the equalizer when Jesse Lingard leveled the score with 10 minutes to play. Diop scored the first goal, while Lingard’s penalty came via a questionable penalty call that wasn’t spotted during the run of paly. But Arsenal loanee Willock powered a Matt Ritchie cross home in the 82nd minute to give Newcastle all three points. Don’t write off Reds, says guru

· April 17, 2021 ·

Journalist Surasak Marktavee, left, and former Thailand coach Kiatisak Senamuang pose during a match at Anfield. As the Premier League enters the home stretch of the season, runaway leaders Manchester City look set to win the title. City, who have played 32 matches, are on 74 points, 11 ahead of second-placed Manchester United (63) who have a game in hand. United are likely to finish second with a seven-point advantage over third-ranked Leicester City. However, the race for the other two top-four spots for Champions League berths remain close. Leicester (56) and West Ham (55) currently hold the positions, followed by Chelsea (54), Liverpool (52) and Tottenham (49). "Man City will surely win the title," Surasak Marktavee, the London-based chief correspondent for Siam Sport daily, said in a telephone interview. "Man U will finish second but the race for the other two places is still very close." Leicester suffered a blow last week when they lost 3-2 at West Ham. … [Read more...] about Don’t write off Reds, says guru

Shoppers are loving a salad box hack that gets you cheap cheese at Morrisons

· April 17, 2021 ·

A SAVVY shopper has shared a Morrisons shopping hack that lets you get cheese extra cheap. You need to be in a Morrison's that has a salad bar, and keep an eye out for when there are half price deals. When that happens you choose one of the large salad boxes and stuff it full of cheese. That means you'll only be paying £1.87 for as much cheese as you can stuff in the bowl. Jo posted the hack in the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group saying: "Half price large salad boxes at morrisons £1.87 so I filled mine with cheese." Other shoppers loved the hack, which has had over 6.4 thousand likes and over 1.9 thousand comments so far. Most people thought it was a brilliant idea. For instance, George said: "cheap cheese, love the idea!". However, some felt like Jo could have squeezed more cheese in to get an ever better bargain. Diane said: "Anyone else thinking they could squeeze more in?" Other people said they'd used the same hack to buy other high value … [Read more...] about Shoppers are loving a salad box hack that gets you cheap cheese at Morrisons

300-Million-Year-Old “Godzilla Shark” Had 2.5ft-Long Spines, 12 Rows of Teeth

· April 16, 2021 ·

A shark that lived 300 million years ago has now been formally named by scientists after several years of research. The shark was given the nickname "Godzilla Shark" when it was first discovered in 2013 via fossils found in the Manzano Mountains in New Mexico. Based on these fossil records scientists think the shark was 6.7 feet long, had 12 rows of teeth contained in powerful jaws, and two large fin spines on its back measuring 2.5 feet. These features led scientists to give the shark its monstrous nickname. The shark's scientific name, Dracopristis hoffmanorum, was announced in a press release by the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science (NMMNHS) on Thursday. It is also called Hoffman's Dragon Shark in recognition of its big jaws and large spines and in honor of the Hoffman family who own the land where the fossil was found. Scientists think the large fin spines on the shark's back could have acted as a defence against predators such as an even larger shark … [Read more...] about 300-Million-Year-Old “Godzilla Shark” Had 2.5ft-Long Spines, 12 Rows of Teeth
