The Hanoitimes - The 2017 Nha Trang Sea Festival themed Extending the Circle of Friendship will be held in Khanh Hoa province from June 10 to 13. At a press conference on May 10, the provincial People’s Committee announced, the 2017 Nha Trang Sea Festival have fifty arts, cultural and sporting activities. Prominent among them include a street festival, lion and dragon dances, a fishing competition, and a cooking contest. Chefs from Nha Trang Tourism College will attempt to make the largest ever seafood hotpot in Vietnam as recognised by the Vietnam Guinness Organisation. Nha Trang Sea Festival takes place every two years for a week in around June in Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province. Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2017 to attract 350 artisans
The biennial Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2017 themed “The Quintessence of Vietnamese Crafts”will be held in Hue, the capital city of Thua Thien-Hue Province on April 28-May 2, announced the People’s Committee of Hue City at a press briefing in Hanoi on April 5. The 7th event will attract 350 artisans from 60 well-known craft villages across the country, displaying their traditional handicraft products, such as ceramics, brocades, silk, terracotta, paper flowers, lanterns, silver and gold jewelry.The festival also features the participation of countries, which have sister and cooperative cities with Hue, such as Takayama, Saijo and Shizouk of Japan; and Korea’s Busan. The Giant Lantern Festival will light up Gamuda City, a residential area in Hoang Mai District from December 3 to January 22. The festival is expected to be one of the key activities to mark the 25th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea (RoK) in 2017.
