The Hanoi People’s Committee has organised a press conference to officially announce the event of holding a Formula One (F1) race in April 2020. Along with Hanoi authorities, Vingroup will be the exclusive sponsor of this event. The conference garnered great attention The organisation board has announced at the press conference that the F1 race will be hosted in Hanoi’s My Dinh sports complex in South Tu Liem district, on a race track of 5,565 metres, designed by German group Tilke and will be set up on the main urban streets around My Dinh Stadium. Tourist numbers are recovering but Vietnam’s hospitality sector must be fully prepared for the more choosy tourist created by the financial crisis. The performance of Vietnam’s hotels and resorts has begun to stabilise over the last few months as tourist arrivals increase and business visitors return. Total international arrivals in the first 10 months of 2010 stood at 4.2 million, an increase of 39.0 per cent over the same period last year.
