Goals were set to improve the country’s doing business ranking by 15-20 spots, logistics index by 5-10 spots from 2019-21 and competitiveness ranking by 5-10 spots. His actions will have an impact on trade and the economy, that’s for sure; but if he manages to slap China in the face and get away with it... I’ll buy him a beer. One prediction I plucked from the Internet was that ‘The Year of the Rooster represents a period of hard work and activity, as the rooster is busy from morning to night. … [Read more...] about New Year in Vietnam: What’s next in 2017?

It was exciting to sense the city buzzing with excitement and preparations for the huge public gathers on the streets, in parks and around the city’s many beautiful lakes. In the early evening of December 31, the anticipation and excitement growing for the big moment marking the end of 2015 and start of 2016 was palpable on the streets of Hanoi and all across the country and world.
