A blind student was dragged “by his ankles” out of an Oxford debating chamber after being refused entry, leading to calls for the union president to resign. Ebenezer Azamati says that he felt “unwelcome in the Union, Oxford and even the country,” after he was manhandled by security staff in a distressing incident caught on video. The postgraduate International Relations student from St John’s College, arrived early at the hall to reserve a seat for the debate on the motion 'This House has no confidence in HM Government' and went to dinner. When he returned, he was denied entry, but attempted to sit down in his reserved seat. It started with Chris Nelson a father of two, a coworker here at CBS13. He reported to us that he was shocked by his Fitbit. Nelson felt healthier when he wore his new fitness tracker, counting his steps and tracking his heart rate. But after a month of wearing the Fitbit Charge 2, Nelson was in for a surprise. While picking up his 3-year-old daughter Emily, he says the Fitbit Charge 2 shocked him, causing him to drop his daughter. SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Sacramento wife and mother, Nettie Johnson says a solar company put a lien against her home for solar panels that they never installed, and it was about to ruin her chances of refinancing. The nonexistent panels on her roof were threatening the refinancing rate, which was only guaranteed for 30-days, after that it could go up.Johnson says she was unaware of the lien until she got a call from her lender. She says she was flabbergasted when she got the news. “Solar panels? We don’t have solar panels,” she said, “I’m thinking you’ve got to be kidding me.” The lender told her that during the refinancing process they uncovered the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) lien, which was filed with the Sacramento County Recorder by Team Solar in conjunction with Sun Edison back in February of 2016. SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — While deployed to the Middle East,national guardsman Sergio Gonzalez says he returned to find his gas company switched without his permission. Gonzalez says a company called Smart One Energy took over his natural gas service with PG&E without his permission while he was deployed to Kuwait. He says his gas bill doubled. “What can I do, how can I stop this, because I didn’t authorize this,” he said. Gonzalez said when he contacted Smart One Energy they claimed someone from his house authorized the switch. But he’s the only one named on his gas bill, and he knows he didn’t do it from Kuwait. “I wanted to reach through the phone and choke the guy, but I obviously couldn’t do that,” he said. CITRUS HEIGHTS (CBS13) — Yasmin Snider collects her Social Security benefits through a government debit card. But when someone stole her money, it was time to call Kurtis. Snider is battling stage four breast cancer and now she’s battling the bank behind her Direct Express MasterCard, where she gets her $618 a month Social Security payment. Someone stole her money, leaving her with no way to buy food or medicine. She said the money vanished; Direct Express told her the money was withdrawn from an ATM in Florida.
