And Gujarat had all the reason to celebrate as Rajkot-based special athlete Mantra Harkhani picked two gold medals in the 50-metre freestyle and 50-metre backstroke events. What made 16-year-old Mantra's performance special is the fact that he was the only Indian athlete in the events to pick a medal while beating the strong challenges from swimmers of other nations. Suffering from Down's syndrome, Mantra showed his affinity for water at an early age of four which prompted his parents Bijal and Jitendra Harkhani to enrol him in swimming.
