An Attention Deficit Economy Research we conducted during the past year shows that 83% business owners and managers state that their biggest problem is finding new leads for their businesses. Yet most pursue direct mail, advertising and telesales hoping to build awareness and win business almost overnight!! I recently received the following question from a fellow marketing consultant over at LinkedIn:Do you think a small medium business web site should include the physical address and photos of the owner(s)? In other words, should you provide personal touches? Or do people just want professional, quick and valuable service in today's world without personalization? To answer this question, I believe you must first recognize what your prospects deal with on a daily basis in terms of promotional messages. Estimates of the number of advertising messages Americans are exposed to on a daily basis range anywhere from several hundred to several thousand depending on the source you read. Anti-bullying message presented at Clyde Elementary School CLYDE - Things got a little sticky at Clyde Elementary School last week as guidance counselor Brooke Michael presented an anti-bullying message funded by Duck Tape. Michael visited every classroom in the school to talk about the importance of working together to combat school bullying. The program, “I Pledge to Stick Together Against Bullying,” was presented by Duck Tape and Project Love. During a presentation in Angie Horn’s third grade class on Thursday, Michael asked the students to imagine a school with no bullying, where everyone is kind and helpful. In a school like that, the students told her, kids would take turns, not mess with the teacher’s desk, and never bully another student. “We call those things kindness, don’t we?” she asked them. “The way to eliminate bullying is to be more aware of ways to be kind.” Michael used a roll of Duck Tape to show there is … [Read more...] about Meet Your Neighbor: School counselor promotes message of kindness
