Who is Steve Jobs’ Syrian immigrant father, Abdul Fattah Jandali?

· February 2, 2017 ·

Steve Jobs is well known as an arch innovator from California’s Silicon Valley – founding Apple Computer, NeXt and Pixar, and helping to bring to the world the personal computer, Mac, iPhone and iPad, as well as movies such as Toy Story and Finding Nemo. Less well known is the fact that while Steve Jobs was born in California he was actually adopted, and his biological father was a political migrant from the Syrian city of Homs, now devastated by the civil war in Syria. On Twitter this fact has now gone viral, starting via a tweet by David Galbraith , and further exposed by the BBC World Service's Outside Source programme . It remains a powerful statement, especially following the ISIS atrocities in Syria, Iraq, Egypt and now with Donald Trump's indefinite ban of Syrian refugees. While some people are horrified at the numbers fleeing Syria, and worry about the consequences of other countries taking on millions of refugees, many have pointed out that previous Syrian migrants … [Read more...] about Who is Steve Jobs’ Syrian immigrant father, Abdul Fattah Jandali?

Montana Sen. Steve Daines: ‘Shameful’ Senate Dems Allow Billions of Tax Dollars to Fund Abortions

· March 7, 2021 ·

Sen. Steve Daines (R-MT), chair of the Senate Pro-Life Caucus, rebuked Democrats Saturday after they voted to pass President Joe Biden’s COVID relief bill allowing billions of American taxpayer dollars to be used to fund abortion on demand. The bill allocates $400 billion which can be used to fund elective abortions. Shameful. Senate Democrats voted to allow billions of taxpayer dollars to be used to fund abortions. They voted against applying a 44 year protection called the Hyde amendment—one that was included in all five previous bipartisan COVID packages. — Steve Daines (@SteveDaines) March 6, 2021 Preventing taxpayer dollars from being used to fund abortions is something a majority of Americans agree with. I’m very disappointed to see Senate Democrats use COVID “relief” to get away with their pro-abortion agenda. — Steve Daines (@SteveDaines) March 6, 2021 While Daines worked to insert the longstanding Hyde Amendment into the measure, Senate Democrats … [Read more...] about Montana Sen. Steve Jobs car has no license plates

· March 28, 2010 ·

Here’s a random fact of the day: Steve Jobs drives a Mercedes SL55 AMG, with no license plates. Instead there’s just a plate frame with a little barcode in the middle (apparently the bar code is standard on Mercedes). I guess Steve really doesn’t like the look of the license plate, his car has been spotted frequently around the Silicon Valley and for at least two years now it has been missing the front and rear plates. Failure to display license plates is a $250 fine in California, which makes you wonder how often he gets pulled over and ticketed for the infraction. If you ever wanted to know exactly what Steve Jobs thinks about Flash, you’ve got your chance. Apple’s CEO has released a lengthy letter detailing why Apple does not allow Flash on it’s iPhone, iPod, and iPad devices. Calling Flash part of the “past” and “PC era”, he addresses six major points as to why Apple is leaving Flash behind, they are: * openness of the platforms The entire 1671 word essay in it’s entirety is repeated below: Thoughts on Flash Apple has a long relationship with Adobe. In fact, we met Adobe’s founders when they were in their proverbial garage. Apple was their first big customer, adopting their Postscript language for our new Laserwriter printer. Apple invested in Adobe and owned around 20% of the company for many years. The two companies worked closely together to pioneer desktop publishing and there were many good times. Since that golden era, the companies have grown apart. Apple went through its near death experience, and Adobe was drawn to the … [Read more...] about Steve Jobs posts his thoughts on Flash

I know what you’re thinking, you’re asking yourself “What would Steve Jobs head look like if it was carved out of mozzarella cheese?” right? Well, here is your answer, from The Cooks Den . Amazing huh? Someone carved that out of cheese, who would have known that is possible? Ok, so we like Steve Jobs, and we like mozzarella cheese, so maybe this works out just fine?
