(VOVworld) – A singing festival of Vietnamese entrepreneurs in European countries will open in the Czech Republic at the end of November. The purpose of the festival is to promote cultural exchanges within the Vietnamese business community in Europe, offering them an opportunity to find business partners. Pham Gia Hau, deputy head of the festival’s organizing board, said: “Entrepreneurs are the main force of the Vietnamese community in Europe and they love to sing. (VOVworld) – About 7,000 Vietnamese and foreigners in Germany joined a march in Berlin on Sunday protesting against China’s illegal placement of oil rig Haiyang 981 in Vietnam’s EEZ and continental shelf. This has been the third protest in Berlin and the biggest one in Germany since China’s violation of Vietnam’s sovereignty. Viet Van wins third prize at the Czech Republic’s photo contest
(Cinet)- A collection of images taken by a Vietnamese photojournalist has won third prize in the journalism and documentary category of the Annual Photo Awards, the Czech Republic’s largest contest of its kind. The winning collection, titled Dinh Menh (Destiny) and shot by Viet Van from the Lao Dong (Labour) newspaper from 2009 to 2015, captures the everyday life of Major General Nguyen Duc Huy, the former commander of the Vietnamese Military Zone 2. Those photos will now go on display at a gallery in Prague, published in Art Photo Magazine and sent to collectors, critics and gallery owners across the world. Viet Van is the only Vietnamese who has won prizes at the competition three times. “Experiencing Vietnam” festival in the Czech Republic
(VOVworld) - Nearly 3,000 people enthusiastically enjoyed the “Experiencing Vietnam” event, which was held in Prague in the Czech Republic on Thursday. It is one of the main activities of the ‘Year of Vietnamese Culture in the Czech Republic’ programme and is part of the 65 events marking the 65th anniversary of Vietnamese-Czech diplomatic relations. Vietnam’s Ambassador to the Czech Republic, Truong Manh Son, said the event is intended to help the Czech people explore and experience some of Vietnam’s natural beauty, customs, and culture as demonstrated by the Vietnamese community in the host country.
